The Jimi Vincent Band offers soulful vocals, intense guitar combined with energetic bass guitar, Hammond B3 organ and powerful drums to create an authentically-unique sound. Their rocking blues music has been described as “mesmerizing,” “the real deal,” and even “chocolate nicotine” by audiences all over Ohio and in other states including West Virginia, Tennessee, Michigan and Indiana.
The Jimi Vincent Band was formed in 1989 by lead vocalist Jimi Vincent. Together with is multi-talented musicians, Vincent’s rich vocals are made for the blues. The band has opened for impressive acts including Robert Cray, Guy Davis, Travis Tritt, Bonnie Raitt, Emmylou Harris, Kenny Neal, Big James and The Chicago Playboys and many others.
The Jimi Vincent Band has also performed at many renowned venues, such as the Dayton Blues Festival, Creekside Blues and Jazz Festival in Gahanna, Ohio (2012 Headliner) and the Blues Brews and BBQ, Ft. Wayne Indiana.. After memorable performances, they are repeatedly asked to return to almost every venue. The band members are also proud to have had the opportunity to compete three times in the International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Jimi Vincent Band currently plays fairs, festivals and special events throughout Ohio and the Eastern region of the United States. The band has released numerous CDs, including their most recent “Been There, Done That, Won’t Do That Again.” , and are currently in the studio working on a new CD, to be released in early October 2021
